Multi-stage air purifier

This air purifier uses a multi-stage air cleaning system. The room air first moves across the pre-filter to remove larger particles such as dust. The HEPA filter removes smaller allergens, then the charcoal filter removes smells and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air before finally, the ultraviolet light works in conjunction with the photocatalyst titanium dioxide coating to remove bacteria and viruses from the air.

The more times that the air within the room passes through the air purifier, the cleaner that air will become. This is why it is important to carefully size the air purifier to your room size.

Step one: Check your allergy

To select the correct air purifier, you need to know two things: what you are allergic to and the cubic air volume of the room that you want to clean. This is where air purifier selection normally goes wrong: the filter and the allergy don’t match and so often the purifier is too small for the room and doesn’t clean the air properly

Step two: Check your room size

The MeacoClean CA-HEPA 47x5 can move up to 236m3 of air per hour. The more often the air from your room goes through the air purifier each hour the cleaner the air will become. If your symptoms are mild then three times an hour will be fine. Five times an hour will give better results and a factor of seven or eight times an hour should be used if your allergy is severe.
