The EnviroVent MEV160FT-W Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) Unit is a high-performance, energy-efficient ventilation system designed to provide continuous extraction and improved indoor air quality. Featuring Intellitrac® humidity tracking and compatibility with the EnviroVent Fast Track ducting system, this unit offers a fast, flexible and reliable ventilation solution for modern homes and multi-room properties.

Capable of delivering airflow rates of up to 75l/s (270 m³/hr), the MEV160FT-W extracts moisture-laden air from multiple wet rooms simultaneously, helping to prevent condensation and reduce humidity transfer throughout the property. It is ideal for houses, apartments and communal accommodation such as care homes or student residences, supporting ventilation requirements for a kitchen plus up to six additional wet rooms.

Compact & Installer-Friendly Design

The MEV160FT-W has been engineered with ease of installation in mind. Its slim 160mm profile and lightweight construction make it ideal for installations where space is limited. The unit can be mounted horizontally on floors or ceilings, or vertically on walls to suit a wide range of property layouts.

Six twist, fix and release duct entry points allow flexible duct configuration, while the push-button commissioning pad enables installers to quickly set the correct airflow rate.

Fast Track Ducting System

The MEV160FT-W is designed to integrate with the EnviroVent Fast Track ducting range, allowing installations to be completed up to twice as fast compared with traditional screw-and-glue ducting methods. This system also provides an airtight connection while helping to maintain energy efficiency.

Intelligent Humidity Control

With Intellitrac® humidity tracking included as standard, the MEV160FT-W continuously monitors humidity levels within the property and automatically adjusts fan speed to control condensation effectively. This intelligent system ensures optimal ventilation without the need for user intervention.

The unit also supports AirSens® indoor air quality sensors, allowing automatic response to changes in CO? levels, VOCs and relative humidity. When air quality drops, the MEV unit increases extraction rates to restore a healthier indoor environment.

AirSens® Indoor Air Quality Monitoring

AirSens® sensors provide a simple colour-coded display showing current air quality levels:

• Red – Poor air quality
• Amber – Moderate air quality
• Green – Good air quality

AirSens® sensors can monitor:

• Carbon dioxide (CO?)
• Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
• Relative humidity

Environmentally Responsible Design

The MEV160FT-W has been designed with sustainability in mind. The unit is manufactured largely from recyclable materials, reducing landfill impact while allowing components to be easily replaced if required. Combined with DC motor technology, the system delivers very low energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions.
